The University of Copenhagen is located all throughout the city in different sites. Physics (NBI) is located at Nørre Campus (Northern Campus) with large parts of the natural and bio sciences. NBI uses two main buildings – the H.C. Ørsted Institute and The old Niels Bohr buildings. There is also a new building under construction very close to the H.C. Ørsted Institute.


The danish LOC committee has made special arrangements with A&O Hostel Nørrebro to accommodate delegates attending ICPS 2021 in Copenhagen. The hostel has 270 rooms with 670 beds, an XXL lobby and 24/7 front desk service. Every room has its own private bathroom. The room is included in the conference fee and is including breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a small library. The hostel is located only 1.8 km from the venue, the Mærsk Tower, with a direct bus line (6A) making it easy to commute back and forth.

Public transportation consists of busses all throughout the city, metro and S-train to some of the bigger stations and train for the largest stations.
With the many bus routes throughout Copenhagen it is easy to travel from one place to another by bus. To figure out what bus to take one can use the website called rejseplanen. Here you type in you starting point and the destination along with the time, then you get some options for possible routes using bus, metro, S-train and train.
You can by tickets for public transportation in various places. At some stations there are ticket dispensers and in the busses you can pay in cash. You can also buy tickets with the DSB app or on their website. For unlimited public transport in a period there options such as City Pass and also Copenhagen Card which gives free access to other places as well.


Copenhagen is a very easy city to bike in. Most roads have bike lanes and traffic light specifically for bikes. It is also easy to rent a bike with numerous bike rentals. The hotel also allows for bike rental at a low cost per hour.
